FUTSAL

Rules
Team shall consist of 5 players (4 field players and a designated goalie). Ball shall be Futsal low-bounce style. General soccer rules apply, with the following variances

· Substitutions are allowed during play (after substituted player has completely left the field.).

· Matches shall be 25 minutes without stoppage (Senior Division) or 2 halves of 13 minutes with a 2 minute half time (Junior Division.)

· No Sliding

· At a 5 point lead, trailing team may add a player
· Restarts are indirect, from the ground, and taken within 4 seconds. Opponent shall not be closer than 2 yards

· Within the penalty area, keeper may restart with hands or from the ground. No punting or drop kicks. From the keeper’s hands, the ball must touch the ground before the mid-line or touch a player before touching the ground or it will be a turnover (restart at midline.)

· Serious fouls may incur a blue card (player leaves field, team plays down for two minutes or until opponent scores goal.) or red card (same as blue, except player may not return to field.)

· Tournament standings award three points for a win and one point for a tie. Finalists earn medal
